Youth Advocacy
The Street Outreach Program offers referral, support with decision making, and community resource information to at-risk youth, in the places where they gather.
Housing Support for Young Adults
The Transitional Housing Program provides needs assessment, temporary housing and referral to homeless young adults, ages eighteen to twenty-one. Participants pay a small percentage of rent, based on their income, as they work toward individual goals of self-sufficiency. A home visitor will work with program participants for up to two years while offering support and guidance, as they achieve their individual goals.
Grief Support for Children
Crossing Bridges provides experiential learning and support to children, ages five to twelve, who have lost a parent through death, divorce, separation or abandonment. Therapeutic art activities, creative expression and story
telling are used throughout the eight-week program to help the children work through the grieving process and gain acceptance of their loss.
Home Visitation Services
The Healthy Families Program matches teen and adult parent families with a trained Home Visitor who will provide education, support and mentoring during the pregnancy and after the baby's birth. Infant massage techniques and the home-based "Nurturing Program" are also offered to strengthen the parent-child relationship.
Nurturing and Parent Support
The Nurturing and Parent Support Program offers a variety of support and educational programs to the parents of infants, children and teens. These programs, provided by the Ozaukee County Nurturing and Parent Support Collaboration (NAPS), include: Infant and Child Massage Classes, "1-2-3 Magic" and Active Parenting of Teens. In addition, the Collaboration sponsors a variety of family focused workshops, trainings and activities throughout the year.
